Winter Coat
Winter is quickly approaching and with 53 pounds less blubber, I am chilly! I need to get a winter coat but I don't want to buy one that is too small in hopes that I will lose weight and be comfortable. I don't want to buy one that fits me now because, hopefully, the weight will continue to come off and it will soon be too big. So, what do I do? Does anyone have a coat they would like to donate to me?
i am in the same boat....i am FREEEZING!!! my coat that i've been wearing for the past 5 years just won't do since it's a 26/28....walmart has some inexpensive "down" coats that i'm going to buy!
Love the pic. That's my favorite Christmas movie ever. I have the entire Dept. 56 Christmas Village that I put up each year in honor of it. LOVE.
OK, here is what I did. First I snagged a coat from the sisterhood. Nicole had one that had outgrown her so I e-mailed her and bought it. Love it. THEN I needed a regular everyday coat so I went to goodwill last night and found a London Fog twill hooded winter coat for $5.38! Love it. It's like new. Give it a try - I find TONS of things there. They are cheap and you won't feel guilty shrinking out of it.
Kerri, I have a GREAT coat that I think will look awesome on you. It's dark wine color, puffy and warm, and I always felt like I looked cute in it. Living in Florida, I've barely worn it since I only need it when I visit my sister up north in the winter, so it's got a ton of life left in it. Email me at bandlady (at) stealyourface(dot)com and I'll email you a picture of it when I get home from work.
Kerri, what size are you? I have a leather coat and a black coat that might work for you (although i can't remember where you live and it might not be warm enought for you!) Just send me an email at sjoy1972 at gmail.com and I will send you photos!
